All the Fall Decor

Hi, remember me? I know it has been a few months since my last blog post, but here I am and I am ready to share all my fall decor tips and tricks. I know I'm a little late to the game because half of the world is already gearing up for Christmas. Now don't get me wrong I love winter, Christmas, and all the decorations that come with the season, however, I am an avid Dec. 1st is the start of Christmas time, not Nov. 1st!! I know this very controversial, but don't turn your back on me if you disagree, we can get past this I promise! I wanted to still share my fall decor ideas and give Thanksgiving it's time to shine!

Centerpieces are a great way to add pockets of cozy fall decor throughout a home. These are a couple of looks I made and ended up loving! In the first photo I have some vintage glass bottles with stems framing a fall decor sign on top of a scalloped cake stand. Fall isn't fall without pumpkins, so you can see I have these cute mini pumpkin variations spread around the house. In the second picture I used a minimal style pitcher with a lambs ear sprig. Next to it are a couple of mason jars lanterns that I made and you can click to see how I did that in another post!

Another way I used the mini fabric pumpkins I purchased was by stacking them in vases inside my iron lanterns. I'm sure you remember these lanterns from previous posts and that's because I love how versatile they are! These sit on cubbies framing our TV and give just the right amount of fall to spice it up (get pumpkin's spicing it up?!)

I also used these candlesticks that I got from a yard sale and spruced them up. These were so beautiful and a steal for $10 when all they needed was a little love and a fresh coat of paint. I am glad I went with painting these black because they give all the spooky vibes and they are just so BOLD!

Some of these decor items are bought, but decorating can be a great way to have fun activities especially as the seasons change and for holidays. Whether it is a DIY project like the candlesticks or carving a pumpkin these are fun memory making ways to get the whole family involved! You can see this is my husband and I's carved pumpkin we had so much fun creating and doing something together.

Another DIY I did for fall was adding a little something extra to these iron arches I had gotten. They were originally plain and fell flat on the wall, but I added a strip of burlap and a faux stem to them and they came alive! I love this look for the fall without it being over the top pumpkins and orange leaves everywhere. Even though there is nothing wrong with that kind of look either (I'm here for ALL kinds of fall decor!!), this is just a more subtle option.

That concludes my little fall home decor tour. I hope you liked some of the arrangements and decorations I shared! If you ever feel like decorating your home or space is daunting, I just want to remind you that I don't spend a lot of money of these things I share.

  1. I am a bargain girl! I love yard sales, thrift stores, and anything in between. That is a huge part of how I save on home decor.

  2. I don't buy decoration in bulk, when I am shopping I am always on the lookout for cute items even if the season is a couple months away. This helps me spend a little amount over time without breaking the bank because home decor adds up fast $$$!

  3. I limit myself (more like my husband limits me) to only buying one or two seasonal items. What I mean by this is that a lot of decor can be interchangeable throughout the seasons like, my faux greenery, candles, lanterns, etc. My seasonal buy for the fall were my mini fabric pumpkins and even though that was the only addition it is a very "fall" look. Plus you're not having to worry about storage after the season is over!

I hope these tips and tricks helped you get into the decorating mood for fall, and if you already have decorated maybe these can help you see what you already have to work with! I can't wait to hear what you think and see how your have decorated for fall!
