Adding a Touch of Spring

If you've been reading my blog you know I love to share when I change up my home decor. Since March is around the corner, it finally feels like the right time to share some of my spring decorations.

When I think of spring I think fresh and citrus scents, floral everything, and vibrant colors. These reminders of spring are exactly what I focused on when adding new home decor/essentials to the space. I didn't change a whole lot but implementing a few changes here and there has really brightened up our tiny apartment and given me all the spring vibes.

Three of my favorite faux greenery I've gotten so far is the eucalyptus bundles in the first picture. I got these at Target for $5 each (what a steal, right?). I put them in a cute wooden bin I got from Biglots a while ago, but they have a white planter base as well so they are cute on their own too. You may recall me sharing these tulips before in my faux stems post, but I'm sharing them again because bringing them out from storage reminded me how much I loved these. The other spring items I wanted to share were these delicious-smelling candles. This may surprise some of you, but Nick is the candle connoisseur in our family, not me!

My next share are these cute vintage framed flower posters I snagged from a yard sale during the winter for only $6 each! These are hanging next to my floating shelves over the dinner table and they are the perfect fit for that little nook. Purchasing decor when it's out of season is probably one of my biggest tips because you save money and by the time you're ready to use it, it's like getting it all over again.

Here you can see I added lavender floral to my black metal arches in my living room. I got these wreaths at Hobby Lobby for 50% back in January (always be on the lookout for deals!!). I also added these cozy white throw pillows and the orange/almond-colored throw blanket. These two came from amazon and I was drawn to them for the textures and warmth they added to the space. I wanted something to balance all the cool tones on the wall and the brown couch, which I think was achieved.

These were just a few items that gave our home the right touch of spring! What's great is that a lot of these items are neutral and can be interchangeable between seasons depending on what you pair them with. For instance, the throw pillows could easily be paired with Christmas decor and give the perfect cozy winter feel. The same greenery can be used for summer by using different vases, staging, and more.

I hope you enjoyed this mini spring home decor tour! I love sharing my new finds and how I repurpose old decor while making it all feel new. Let me know what you're favorite spring trends are and if you have put up your spring decor yet!!
