After 2 years of visiting the city of San Diego and now living here for almost a year and a half, I thought I'd share some of my favorite places to go and things to do. I was inspired to compile a list where I've made some of my favorite memories because my family is visiting us for the first time and I am so excited to show them around!
This is one of Nick's favorite places, he loves baseball. Going to games has really given him a sense of home and pride living here in San Diego. If you are a sports fan this is definitely and spot to check out. Today is his birthday and I got him tickets to go to opening day of the season, we are so excited to watch some baseball!
This is one of my favorite places because it is so beautiful and there are so many options whether you are looking for free things to do or not. There are museums, art galleries, shops, gardens, restaurants, beautiful architecture, and so much history all packed into one location.
This is a cute shopping and dining area right next to the bay. It has some of our favorite spots to eat and get coffee Eats by Sam and Spill the Beans.
Are always fun ways to spend the day, I love the Safari Tour and Ziplining that they offer and the Safari Park! You can always find good deals through Groupon as well!
My Favorite Beaches
Coronado
Mission Beach
La Jolla
My Favorite Coffee Shops
Communal Coffee
Garden Coffee
Spill the Beans
Better Buzz
Bear Buns Bakery and Cafe
...there are still so many more I need to try and visit!
These are some of the places and activities I plan on doing with my family this weekend when they come to visit. I know this will be such a special time to spend together, especially with Easter and my husband's birthday to celebrate! If you live or have been to San Diego what are some of your favorite spots?? If you have never been, where are you wanting to go?
My 2nd husband and I spent our honeymoon in San Diego. Had a special dinner at Anthony's restaurant on a ship/boat. Steak, baked potato, asparagus with bernaise sauce, and cheesecake. We could hardly move. Is it still there? And of course a trips to the famous Coronado hotel and the wonderful beaches. I'm glad you were able to spend more time there before leaving. It is quite a City.
